What is a Coach?

Those of us who have worked in the field of education realise both the joys and the challenges that are faced on a daily basis.

Coaching is not therapy. The dictionary definition of a therapist is someone who ‘treats psychological problems’. As a coach I start from the premise that, ‘there’s nothing wrong with my client, he/she has a good professional role/life and wants to make it even better’.

The focus is a positive one. I will acknowledge your past but we will be concentrating on the present and your future. Together we will help you build a professional future that inspires you to get out of bed in the morning and allows you to lead/teach with purpose and clarity. I’ll help you to set and work towards your goals, support you when things don’t quite go to plan and shake your hand when they do.

If you are reading this page, you are already part way to achieving your goals. You have realised what you want but perhaps aren’t quite sure how you are going to get there.
Perhaps the support that you get elsewhere is too subjective and you’re looking for a coach who you can talk to, work with and one who will give you objectivity rather than a biased opinion.

There could me many reasons that you are seeking a coaching relationship.

If you would like the opportunity to explore the answers to your many questions with a qualified coach who has many years of experience working as a Head Teacher and Teacher and in an absolutely confidential manner then get in touch.
